An item referred to recent tidings reporting that Greece intended to built in the next coming 5 years 2 dreadnoughts (1), 2-10.000 ton cruisers, 25 destroyers, 6 submarines, 12 gunboats, 20 hydroplanes and a depot ship. In the past was spoken from 2 battle cruisers, 2 cruisers of around 5.000 tons, 4 destroyers, 6 submarines and 10hydroplanes, including the Salamis.(2)

1. Greece bought instead from the USA, the Idaho,  laid down as the USS Idaho on 12 May 1904, launched on 9 December 1905, commissioned in the Greek navy as the Lemnos, de commissioned in 1932 and sunk in the naval base Salamis, Greece by German aircraft on 23 April 1941 and after the Second World War ended broken up and the Mississippi-class, renamed Kilkis in Greek service, laid down as the USS Mississippi on 12 May 1904, launched on 30 September 1905, commissioned in the Greek navy on 22 July 1914, sunk off Salamis, Greece by German aircraft on 23 April 1941 and finally salvaged on the 1950s. Both ships were of the Mississippi-class.
2. Sometimes also called Vasilefs Georgias, building ordered in 1912, laid down by AG Vulkan, Hamburg, Germany on 23 July 1913, launched on 11 November 1914, never completed and broken up in 1932.
